Our new technical management duo has started! With energy, enthusiasm and a healthy dose of curiosity, Tina and Fredi are taking responsibility for projects on site. The photo shows Tina and Fredi Gashi together with administrative managers Marisa Halter and Michaël Golay.

Tina and Fredi started their new roles as technical managers in Cameroon this month. They are bringing a wealth of experience, openness and enthusiasm to their new positions, and we are delighted to welcome them to the team. They introduce themselves in the following interview:

Who are you?

Fredi: I am a master plumber and ran my own plumbing and heating business in Reiden with my wife Tina for many years. I am a doer who likes to get stuck in, think pragmatically, find solutions – and never lose my sense of humour.

Tina: I trained as a retail specialist and later qualified in accounting and finance. Organisation is second nature to me – I like to plan ahead, keep track of things and always have an open ear and an open heart for others, whether in the office or out in the field with people.

What motivated you to go to Cameroon?

Meeting people, learning together and the opportunity to be part of a project with a long-term impact – that’s what appealed to us. And the adventure, of course!

What are your tasks as technical managers?

We coordinate the technical processes, support local employees, ensure that everything runs smoothly and lend a hand wherever help is needed. Together, we take responsibility for the implementation and further development of the projects on site.

How did you prepare for your new role?

With lots of discussions, exchanges with former employees, lots of reading – and above all with an open heart and a lot of curiosity about what lies ahead.

What excites you about Cameroon?

The incredible diversity – in terms of landscape, culture and people. There is something new to discover every day!

A fun fact about yourselves?

Our teamwork is a mixture of order and calm – with to-do lists that sometimes only one of us reads.

Welcome to Cameroon, Tina and Fredi – we look forward to working with you!
